Todays work

Today we were editing the video footage so that it looked more professional and is a lot more tasteful in the genre.

23/03/11

today i helped by being a main singer for the video. we spent the first lesson filming the last of our shots and then have spent this lesson uploading our footage on to the mac book.

Tommorow

we will be finishing are recording tommorow for the music video i am having to redo all of my shots and learn all of my lines. also i will put all of the reactions on to vimeo and then onto this blog. once the rough video is uploaded to vimeo i will make a responses version on facebook so that others will watch the video and tell us their views.

Friday 18th of march

these are the number of shots there were in the test footage

there isn't much but this all the shots of the test footage which are used in the actual music video.

This video is really interesting since you can watch the world change as the singer moves through it and it terraforms to a planet of green.

Friday 11th of March

Today i'm going to edit the footage that was taken yesterday for our music video. when today ends i will put up the work i have finished so far but that is not the final version of how the video will look.

OK Go

I really like this video since it is a combanation of simple step by step animation and normal recorded video. i admire the groups effort for the video since they put loads of dedication into their videos, they must have stayed in that park for over 24 hours since they clearly slept there. i wish i had that much dedication.

Shouting test

These shots were done so that we got an idea of what the lighting was going to look like in the final piece. i was used since both doug and ita were camera shy. hopefully in later production they will be willing to let people see them on the video.

Thursday 10th of March

Today we are planning to make more progress in our recording for the music video. i had to get my hoodie from home to give it a more R&B feel to my character. There should also be some test footage of our recording from today and yesterday which will be added to my blog.

Recording

Today we did our main recording for our music video in the media studio. we used its main black room for a nice solid colour effect. Doug brought with him a strobe light from his home to make our video more jumpy and look more effective. Also we had help from T who came with us to the media studio and helped  us with our 3rd singer whom we had problems finding in the first place.

Digipak paper version

we made a paper version of our digipak so that we knew how to make one when we finish our projects so that it looks professional.

Treatment

The artist are the main focus of the video. it starts off with a dark shadow of the first singers face on the intro, then it sets the scene for the dancers infront of a bonfire. the performance is filmed infront of a white wall and a black wall, playing with different camera angles. the female dancers are providing illustration for the song with powerful close ups and the artist's are there to show their personalities.

Our lighting and props and make-up

we have got a large amount of different light sources from Lamps to a possible strobe light also for our project we might be able to have a natural flame light source from a bonfire which is happening later this week. For possible props we could use truly anything since we have a large group of friends who should have whatever we want. My mother is also available to help us out with whatever make-up we will require since she helped with other play productions at the west end in london.
