Our initial feedback was from our class, we watched each other's video and then pointed out bits that were good or could be improved on. By this point we had roughly 1 minuet of footage for our video since it took us a while to put all of the footage and effects into final cut. Once we got our feedback we learnt one thing our video which needed improving which was my character's overall look since in the rough cut i just looked like some normal guy and not a RnB singer, so what we did was get a new set of clothing and did my bits all over again. But we also got positive feedback from the class such as our shots with fast flashing light's which made the whole video have a more glamorous effect to it, the lights were made using a strobe light which Doug brought from his home.
I also asked members from each group about what they thought was good about our video and what could be improved, i also asked Dave our teacher to give a bit of criticism so that we could make the final piece as good as possible. Another thing which needed to be edited was the fact there were no girls in our video what so ever which was not good for our video since the entire song is about women dancing, we asked Ita if she could help out and she went and got some of her friends who are doing a dance course and then recorded them from the neck down since it also shows objectification which is in alot of other music video's. After the initial feedback i made a facebook group where people could watch the video and then wright a comment on it and we could use that comment to improve our final video. The feedback which we got from the facebook group was pretty much the same as our class feedback so it was pretty simple to improve on. once the final video was made i posted it on the facebook group so that people could watch it and make any final criticism but it was an alround positive response, from start to finish people always knew our video was an RnB genre which was very good for us since that meant we didn't have to go out of our way to make people know that. i also got feedback from my digipak so that i could improve on that aswell but the only real criticism i got was that it needed to be a bit more legible since people could not understand what songs were meant to be in the final piece, so what i did was change the colouring to the text and made it glow and then everyone was able to understand it.
