when i was creating my Record label i had a little trouble trying to make the eyes be on the opposite side of the original. I fixed it by flipping a copy of the original layer.
I based it off of many dark mythologies of creatures with glowing red eyes particularly the Black dog http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_dog_(ghost)
I also looked at three other record labels such as Aftermath entertainment.
